Established in 2007 as an all female student team of FIRST Robotics Finger Lakes Region, New York State, the team consists of Nazareth Academy students and adult mentors (teachers of Nazareth Academy and employees of Xerox Corporation). The NazareX team anxiously awaits our second competition in March, where we will continue to live the FIRST experience that demonstrates quality leadership with a goal to create excitement in young women to drive them to excel in science and technology.

 

NazareX gets its name by incorporating the Naz from Nazareth Academy, ’are.’ for our mission of ’Acquiring Real Experience’ and X in appreciation for our sponsor, Xerox.

Hot Off The Press!

 

February 14th: Another day in the life of a NazareX member. Work was to be done, and there isn't any time to dawdle. It’s time to get finished, which is exactly what the NazareX team is trying to do.

 

February 4th: There is soooo much work to be done! The weeks are ticking by, and the NazareX team is squeezing in as much build time as possible. The robot is so close to done, but there are still kinks to work out, edges to smooth, and plans to make. Let’s see how this goes…

 

January 3rd: With the game out, the NAZareX team is working hard to meet the ship date promptly with no problems. New members are being briefed and updated on how to what and such, and veterans are learning new skills. Bring it on!
