Established in 2007 as an all female student team of FIRST Robotics Finger Lakes Region, New York State, the team consists of Nazareth Academy students and adult mentors (teachers of Nazareth Academy and employees of Xerox Corporation). The NazareX team anxiously awaits our third season this year, where we will continue to live the FIRST experience that demonstrates quality leadership with a goal to create excitement in young women to drive them to excel in science and technology.

NazareX gets its name by incorporating the Naz from Nazareth Academy, ’are.’ for our mission of ’Acquiring Real Experience’ and X in appreciation for our sponsor, Xerox.

Hot Off The Press!

January 16, 2009: One week down, five to go!!! Team NazareX is hard at work on coming up with a design for the new game BREAKAWAY Today we were able to accomplish many things including, starting to build the chassis, and making a breakthrough in software and in design!! We have a tough five weeks ahead but we are ready to take on the challenge! Best of luck to all FRC FIRST teams!! Can’t wait to see what you have to offer. Our next meeting is on Wed. Jan 20^th.

January 9, 2010: Kickoff!!!!! The momentous occasion has finally arrived. We sat, and waited, anxiety eating away at us, so curious about what the new game would be. And then, it came. Along with it a wave of curiosity and imagination. This game will take the utmost skill and planning to work at. This is what we’ve been waiting for!

November 9th: Another simple day for NAZareX. While the season hasn’t exactly started yet, the team still has weekly meetings to remain updated and informed. This week, a quick briefing of rules and the new members (and a few older ones) are taught how to use certain everyday tools. Fun stuff…

October 24th: RahChaCha! Ruckus was just about the best warm-up to the season possible! The game was fun,the activities were fun; but the best part for the NAZareX team? Winning, alongside Penfield and X-Cats in an amazing alliance. What a day!
